Single Point of Access for Children's Emotional Wellbeing - Newport
About SPACE-Wellbeing
SPACE-Wellbeing is a multi-agency process to co-ordinate help, including both early intervention and specialist provision, for children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. The process brings together professionals from different agencies who support children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, in order to help children and their families to get the right help, first time. The SPACE-Wellbeing process is hosted by ABUHB’s five Local Authority partners (Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen).
The objectives of SPACE-Wellbeing are:
Getting the right support, from the right person, to the right person, first time
Easy access through a clear ‘request for support’ pathway and joined-up working between the agencies
Reducing duplication of referrals, assessments and interventions
Getting more ‘support in’ to frontline staff, meaning existing networks of relationships are supported and strengthened
To access the Newport SPACE-Wellbeing panel, the request for support form should be completed.
This can be accessed by contacting the SPACE-Wellbeing Co-ordinator,
Requests for Support should be emailed to: Families.1st@newport.gov.uk
